福州西湖国际学校于上周五举行了年度才艺秀！在霓虹与电流交织的赛博朋克风舞台上，全体师生获邀登录年度才艺秀「服务器」，感受激活热爱程序的表演者们带来的精彩演出。

Fuzhou Lakeside International School held its annual talent show last Friday! On a cyberpunk-themed stage where neon lights and electric currents intertwined, all students and teachers were invited to log into the talent show’s “server” and enjoy the spectacular performances by performers who were fired up with passion.

才艺秀有别于其他校园演出活动，更强调表演者的自主参与和创意表达。此次活动，所有参与者从节目策划到编排，全程积极参与，用自己喜欢的方式展现热情与才华。歌舞、魔术、体操、戏剧、朗诵、乐器演奏……丰富多样的节目轮番登场。第一次彩排，不少学子在台下欣赏同学表演后惊呼：原来你还有这一手！舞台不仅是展示才艺的空间，更是让大家进一步认识彼此、发现同伴闪光点的机会。

Unlike other campus performances, the Talent Show places greater emphasis on the performers’ active participation and creative expression. For this event, all participants were actively involved throughout the entire process—from planning to choreography—showcasing their passion and talent in their own unique ways. Singing, dancing, magic, gymnastics, drama, recitation, instrumental performances… a rich and diverse array of acts took the stage one after another. During the first rehearsal, many students watched their classmates perform from the audience and exclaimed in surprise, “I had no idea you could do that!” The stage is not only a space for showcasing talents but also an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another better and discover the unique strengths of their peers.

才艺秀也是见证友谊的舞台。三年级的Joy, Lucas, Annabelle, Orlando与Sakato共同创作了一出歌颂友谊的音乐小品，MYP3的Vivian和Sabrina同学携手带来一曲《特别的人》。想象一下两位好友在跆拳道考级时互相较量、互相搞怪，教练该如何应对？Tim, Sarah, Majesty三位黄金搭档融合生活经验，把这个想法变为一支充满惊喜与节奏的舞蹈短剧，逗得台下欢笑连连。Soyun, Tayla, Stacy和Viola四位高年级学姐因对Kpop的爱好而集结，她们在台上默契切换多种风格，用感染力点燃全场！

The Talent Show also served as a stage to celebrate friendship. Third-graders Joy, Lucas, Annabelle, Orlando, and Sakato collaborated on a musical sketch celebrating friendship, while MYP3 students Vivian and Sabrina joined forces to perform “Special Person.” Imagine two best friends competing against each other—and playfully teasing one another—during a Taekwondo grading test. How would the coach handle that? Tim, Sarah, and Majesty—a trio of golden partners—drew on their life experiences to turn this idea into a short dance skit full of surprises and rhythm, leaving the audience in stitches. Soyun, Tayla, Stacy, and Viola—four senior students united by their love of K-pop—seamlessly switched between various styles on stage, igniting the entire gym with their infectious energy!

说到多人节目，FLIS各大课后社团同样贡献了凸显社团特色的节目。语言艺术社团的《诗话长安》带观众走进古都长安，通过耳熟能详的首首诗词，感受传统文化的韵味与魅力；ECE绘本社则将国家美术馆搬上舞台，让我们跟随小主人公Katie一起跃入名画的世界——值得一提的是，节目中的许多道具可都是孩子们亲手制作的哦。

When it comes to group performances, FLIS’s various after-school clubs also put on shows that highlighted their unique characteristics. The Language Arts Club’s “Chang’an in Poetry” transported the audience to the ancient capital of Chang’an, allowing them to experience the charm and allure of traditional culture through familiar poems and verses; the ECE Reading Club, meanwhile, brought the National Art Gallery to the stage, inviting us to follow the young protagonist Katie as she dives into the world of famous paintings—it’s worth noting that many of the props in the performance were actually handmade by the children themselves.

这个舞台不仅欢迎学子秀出才艺，同样对老师敞开大门。曾多次登上国际舞台、在伦敦皇家阿尔伯特音乐厅也留下过矫健身影的Jacqueline老师献上一段别开生面的道具表演，利落身手甚至有几分侠女风范；Dario老师则自弹自唱，带来绿洲乐队名曲"Stop Crying Your Heart Out"，让观众在感受英伦忧郁的同时获得前行力量。

This stage not only welcomes students to showcase their talents, but also opens its doors to teachers. Ms. Jacqueline, a teacher who has graced international stages on numerous occasions and left her mark even at the Royal Albert Hall in London, delivered a unique prop performance, her nimble movements exuding a touch of a martial arts heroine’s flair; Mr. Dario, meanwhile, sang and played his own accompaniment, performing Oasis’s classic “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” allowing the audience to experience British melancholy while drawing strength to move forward.
