12月以来，以「毛绒绒的圣诞节（Fluffy Christmas）」为主题，福州西湖国际学校与大家一同进入了一个关于陪伴、关怀与责任的季节。或许你已经注意到，校园里出现了许多可爱的“小爪印”与毛绒绒的装饰，一切的一切都在提醒我们：这个冬天，有一群沉默的小邻居——流浪动物们——正等待着点滴来自人类的善意。

Since December, Fuzhou Lakeside International School has embraced the season of companionship, care, and responsibility through its “Fluffy Christmas” theme. You may have noticed adorable “paw prints” and fluffy decorations appearing around campus. Every detail serves as a gentle reminder: this winter, a silent group of neighbors—stray animals—awaits even the smallest acts of kindness from us.

FLIS以一场温暖而欢乐的圣诞演出拉开当天活动序幕。一年一度，诸如"Deck the Halls” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas"等经典节日歌谣再度响彻校园；不少班级载歌载舞，带来更加热烈的节奏；在这样的日子里，谁能拒绝一出笑点满满的温馨喜剧？几个班级带来了自导自演的作品，故事一波三折，好在总能迎来圆满结局……

FLIS kicked off the day's festivities with a warm and joyful Christmas Show. Once again, classic holiday tunes like “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” filled the campus air. Many classes joined in with singing and dancing, adding even more lively rhythms. On such a day, who could resist a heartwarming comedy? Several classes presented self-written and self-directed plays, each filled with twists and turns—but thankfully, they all ended happily ever after...

作为本次圣诞季合作机构负责人，素馨小动物保护中心的素素女士也来到现场宣讲，呼吁大家为保护小动物献出自己的一份力。

As the representative of the partner organization for this Christmas season, Ms. Su Su from Fujian Suxin Animal Protection Center also attended the event to deliver a speech, urging everyone to contribute their part to protecting stray animals.

每年好吃好逛好玩的慈善圣诞集市总是特别令人期待。今年，FLIS吉祥物Felix带来各种可爱周边商品，助力义卖，可玩度超高！MYP四大学院大力吆喝售卖募捐所得玩具，他们还精心准备了美味小食，摊位前人头攒动。以味蕾招揽顾客的摊位可不止一家，永远热情支持FLIS活动的家长们端上各种招牌美食，来自西安的Kirk老师则更新了传统风味小吃菜单——绵软的甑糕同样大获好评！值得一提的是，本次集市所得盈利将全部捐献给素馨小动物保护中心。

The annual charity Christmas Bazaar, packed with delicious treats, fun activities, and delightful shopping, is always highly anticipated. This year, FLIS mascot Felix brought along a variety of adorable merchandise to boost the charity sale, making it incredibly fun! The four MYP houses enthusiastically hawked toys raised through donations, and they also prepared delicious snacks, drawing crowds to their stalls. There was more than one stall attracting customers with delicious food. Parents, ever-supportive of FLIS events, served signature dishes, while Ms. Kirk from Xi'an updated the traditional snack menu—her soft steamed rice cakes were a huge hit! Notably, all proceeds from FLIS Christmas Bazaar will be donated to the Suxin Animal Protection Center.

人类与动物同属社区的一员。在一个资源有限的世界，每个人的行为将对环境与社区造成怎样的影响？我们的选择又会如何塑造未来？这些问题呼应了IB跨学科主题Sharing the Planet（共享地球）所要探究的核心理念。而通过了解动物福利知识、发起物资募捐宣讲、与动物救助机构合作、参与慈善义卖等行动，FLIS学子正逐步运用所学技能，对周围世界产生积极影响。

Humans and animals are both members of the community. How we share finite resources with other people and with other living things, and how our choices impact communities, environments, and future generations? These questions resonate with the core concept explored by the IB transdisciplinary theme Sharing the Planet. By learning about animal welfare, organizing donation drives and awareness campaigns, collaborating with animal rescue organizations, and participating in charity sales, FLIS students are progressively applying their skills to make a positive impact on the world around them.
