给孩子20元钱、与一间琳琅满目的超市,会发生些什么?Let's go shopping!!!
What happens when you give a child 20 RMB and a supermarket full of tempting treats? Let's go shopping!!!


上周五,福州西湖国际学校幼儿园小朋友们前往永辉超市。学子在店员介绍下认识了不少新鲜果蔬、学习了食物相关知识、还一一找到了列表上的商品。
Last Friday, ECE students from Fuzhou Lakeside International School visited Yonghui Superstore. Guided by staff, the students learned about fresh fruits and vegetables, gained food-related knowledge, and successfully located each item on their list.


不仅如此,他们可是“有备而来”!在20元额度内,每个小朋友需要为家中购置一件商品,余下零钱则可用于购买一件自己喜爱的物品。
But that wasn't all—they came prepared! Within a 20-yuan budget, each student needed to purchase one item for their family, with any remaining change used to buy something they liked for themselves.

购物时间一到,孩子们的表现可谓出乎意料:有的小朋友展现出了强大的责任感,牢记购置家用的使命,还会在老师的提示下对比价格、选择更实惠的产品、更可靠的品牌;也有些小朋友放弃购买心仪的商品、心心念念要为爸爸妈妈买一份礼物;孩子们不忘互帮互助,在巨大的卖场里绕晕头之际,总有同伴伸出援手,找到其他小朋友需要的商品……最好的课堂不仅在教室里、也可以在户外、在超市、在日常生活里。
During the shopping time, the children's behavior was quite unexpected: some demonstrated remarkable responsibility, keeping their mission to buy household items firmly in mind. With the teacher's guidance, they compared prices, chose more affordable products, and opted for reliable brands. Others set aside their own desired items, determined to buy a gift for their parents. These students never forgot to help each other—when they became disoriented in the vast supermarket, a classmate would always lend a hand, locating the items their peers needed... The best classrooms aren't confined to school buildings; they can be found outdoors, in supermarkets, and in everyday life.

柑橘大家族的秋日馈赠
上周,FLIS三年级生完成了在三明将乐的秋季研学。学子们来到溪边尝试自制装置净化水源、探讨了荒野求生种种要诀,在这个丰收的季节,众人还前往葡萄柚果园,体验了一把采摘的快乐!
Last week, FLIS third-year students completed their fall field study in Jiangle, Sanming. Along the riverbank, the students experimented with homemade water purification devices and explored wilderness survival skills. During this bountiful season, they also visited a grapefruit orchard, where they experienced the joy of picking fruit!



秋冬正是柑橘类水果上市的季节,学子首先在课堂上学习了这个庞大的家族里常见的各种水果,包括橘子、橙子、柠檬、柚子等等,同时,也了解了水果之间的杂交关系。来到果园,从专业人士处学到了采摘技巧,大伙儿便迫不及待对枝头累累硕果“下手”啦!
Autumn and winter mark the peak season for citrus fruits. Students first learned about the various common fruits within this vast family in the classroom, including oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, tangerines, and pomelos. They also gained insight into the hybrid relationships among these fruits. Upon arriving at the orchard, they learned picking skills from professionals and eagerly set to work harvesting the abundant fruits hanging from the branches!


回到研学基地,小学生们分组分工完成清洗、剥肉、混合搅拌等任务,调制了一杯杯风味独特的蜂蜜柚子茶。此次“从果园到餐桌”的实践,不仅锻炼了学子的沟通协作能力、考验了孩子们的耐心,亦是对食物来源与培育技术的探索。
Back at the Field Studies Center, the primary students divided into groups to complete tasks such as washing, peeling, and mixing ingredients, making cup after cup of uniquely flavored honey grapefruit tea. This “from orchard to table” experience not only honed the students' communication and teamwork skills and tested their patience but also served as an exploration of food origins and cultivation techniques.
