圣诞来临意味着新年将近。回望年初列下的心愿清单，有多少已经实现？你为实现这些心愿付出了哪些努力、在实现心愿的旅途中又有哪些收获？一年即将结束，你准备好新年愿望了吗？2024年FLIS圣诞季以Make a Wish为主题，既呼吁大家回顾过去、也展望未来。

Christmas is coming, which means the New Year is just around the corner. Looking back at the wish list you made at the beginning of the year, how many of them have been realized? How much effort did you put in to make these wishes come true, and what have you gained in the journey to fulfill your wishes? As the year is coming to an end, have you prepared your New Year's wishes? The 2024 FLIS Christmas season is themed Make a Wish, a call to both look back and look forward. 

本周五，福州西湖国际学校提前庆祝了这一节日。FLIS以盛大演出拉开了系列活动的序幕，围绕「圣诞」与「心愿」两大主题，师生们贡献了精彩纷呈的节目。流行音乐与古典乐交织、劲歌金曲与童声合唱交相辉映、皮影戏混搭经典芭蕾舞剧……各班级与学院以不同风格及形式在台上诠释了自己对节日的理解，也许下了大大小小的心愿。

This Friday, Fuzhou Lakeside International School (FLIS) celebrated the holiday in advance. FLIS kicked off the series of activities with a grand show, centering on the themes of “Christmas” and “Wishes”, with teachers and students contributing to a variety of exciting programs. Pop and classical music intertwined, classical songs joined with a children's chorus, shadow puppetry mixed with Christmas ballet- classes and houses interpreted their own understanding of the holiday in different styles and forms on the stage, and perhaps made many big or small wishes.

下午三点半，暖洋洋的冬日阳光照耀下，众人期待已久的圣诞慈善集市正式开始营业啦！今年的集市规模创历代之最，足球场、大堂、学生中心及餐厅均设有活动摊位。从美食到手工、游戏摊位，从周边购物到图书签售应有尽有。值得一提的是，贯穿两个学期的「原创作者征集令」活动此次再添新章，于本学期出版作品的FLIS作者们迎来了首次图书签售会——又是一个愿望成真的时刻。可以签名、可以提问、可以催更！希望热爱阅读的你没有错过这个交流的好机会！

At 3:30 p.m., under the warm winter sun, the long-awaited Christmas Charity Bazaar was officially opened! This year's bazaar was the largest ever, with booths on the soccer field, in the lobby, in the student center and in the cafeteria - everything from food,crafts and game booths, to merch shopping and book signings. It is worth mentioning that the “I’m the Author” activity, which has continued for two semesters, turned a new chapter in this bazaar, as FLIS authors who published their work this semester had their first book signing - another wish come true moment. Readers can buy books, ask questions, and know updates! We hope you didn't miss this opportunity to communicate with your favorite authors!

今年，FLIS依然牵手「福州小家」，为远离家乡来到福州就医的贫困白血病患儿及家长筹集善款，集市最终收益将捐助给小家的孩子们。愿患儿早日康复、远离病痛，希望我们都能通过自己的努力为这世界增添更多爱与温暖，想必这也是FLIS师生共同的心声。

This year, FLIS is still working with “Fuzhou Hope Home” to raise money for the leukemia children and their parents who came to Fuzhou for medical treatment far away from their hometowns- the final profit of the bazaar will be donated to the children of Hope Home. We hope that the children will recover soon and be free from pain, and we hope that we can all add more love and warmth to the world through our own efforts, which are surely also the wishes of FLIS teachers and students.

傍晚夜色渐浓，圣诞树顶端那颗星星点亮的瞬间，漫天大「雪」翩然而至，在一个雪花鲜少造访的南方城市，或许，这在某种意义上也实现了孩子们的心愿。

In the evening, when the star at the top of the Christmas tree was lit up, the “snow” fell from the sky. In a southern city, where snowflakes seldom visit, perhaps, in a sense, this also fulfills some children's wish.
