说到运动会，你立刻浮上心头的美好回忆是什么？是在西湖、左海公园里亲近自然、暴走寻宝的春光运动会，还是在宜家福州商场里宣扬环保理念的智趣运动会？2021年，福州西湖国际学校中学部曾前往福建省奥林匹克体育中心举办年度运动会，偌大的场馆被中学生的欢呼声填满、学子为学院荣誉奋勇拼搏的一幕幕犹在眼前……今年，FLIS决定故地重游，在这个可容纳2.4万人的巨大体育场里，举办年度校际运动会！

When it comes to Sports Day, what are the fond memories that immediately come to your mind? Was it the Spring Sports Day at West Lake and Zuohai Park where students got close to nature and went on a treasure hunt, or was it the Sports Day at IKEA Fuzhou Store where we promoted the concept of environmental protection? In 2021, Fuzhou Lakeside International School (FLIS) Secondary department went to the Fujian Olympic Sports Center to hold its annual Sports Day, the large stadium was filled with the cheers of secondary school students, and the scene of the students' fight for the honor of the college was still vivid in our eye… This year, FLIS decided to make a return trip to the huge 24,000-capacity stadium to host the annual school Sports Day!

今年运动会，FLIS回归传统，在赛跑、接力、拔河等项目之外，增设了跳远、跳绳、定点投篮、投掷垒球等体育项目，让运动健儿有更多施展的舞台；诸如换装赛跑、大力勇士等趣味项目也为其他学子提供了更多选择。作为一所IB(MYP)世界学校，为贯彻IB理念，也增进各学部交流、增加FLIS大家庭的凝聚力，此次运动会，我们特地将全校师生及家长进行混龄分组，分为4个学院（Arc, Fibonacci, Hurston, Tesla），这也意味着每个学院都包含了幼儿园亲子家庭、小学学子、MYP学子、高中学子四组人群，正所谓”Teamwork Makes the Dream Work”, 大家齐心协力，团魂熊熊燃烧，为学院的胜利而战！

This time, in addition to Running, Relay, and Tug-of-war, FLIS has added Long Jump, Rope Skipping, Softball Throwing, Set Shot, and other sports to give athletes more opportunities to perform; we also prepared fun projects such as Fancy Dress Relay and Gladiator Knockdown for other students to provide more choices. As an IB (MYP) World School, in order to implement the IB philosophy, as well as to enhance communication between the various departments and increase the cohesion of the FLIS family, all students and parents were divided into four Houses (Arc, Fibonacci, Hurston and Tesla), which meant that each of these academies included ECE families, Primary students, MYP students, and High School students. “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work”, we all worked together and fought for the victory of the House!

在超级解压的「Soak the Principal!!!」与酣畅淋漓的水枪大战之后，本届运动会正式落下帷幕。一场成功的运动会离不开学生的积极参与和学校、家庭的密切配合。衷心感谢热情报名参加活动的各位家长，以及协助组织活动的家长志愿者们。同时，来自贝臣齿科的Mr. Zhan，来自厦门艾尔法科技的Mr. Wu, 还有个人赞助者Mr. Tedy Weng为此次运动会提供了赞助支持，再次向以上各位表示诚挚的感谢！再激烈的比拼也会迎来赛终哨响的那一刻，但运动中收获的快乐、建立的信任、友谊和爱却可以在生活与记忆中延伸并长存。如今，我们都为有关「运动会」的美好回忆添上了全新的一笔。最后，要感谢奋力拼搏的每一位学子、辛勤付出使之得以圆满呈现的每一位教职工，我们明年运动会再见！

After the super stress-relieving game of "Soak the Principal" and the hearty water gun battle, the Sports Day officially came to an end. A successful sports event owes much to the active participation of students and the close cooperation of school families. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each parent who enthusiastically registered for the event and the parent volunteers who contributed to its organization. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Zhan from Beacon Dental, Mr. Wu from Xiamen Alpha Tech, and individual sponsor Mr. Tedy Weng for their sponsorship of the event! Even the fiercest competition will come to an end when the whistle blows, but the joy, love, trust and friendship harvested and built from sports can be extended in life and memories for a long time.
