新春佳节将至，百节年为首，春节是中华民族最隆重的传统佳节。佳节期间，全国各地会举行各种庆贺活动：除旧布新、驱邪攘灾、拜神祭祖、纳福祈年、亲朋团圆，形式丰富多彩，凝聚和传承着中华传统文化精华。

The Spring Festival is coming. It is the most sacred traditional festival in China. During the Spring Festival, there are various celebrations throughout the country: replacing the old with the new, rituals for protection from evil forces and disasters, ancestor worship and prayer for blessing from various deities, prayer for the new year, family reunions, etc. All these diverse forms of celebration together illustrate the rich, colorful essence of traditional Chinese culture.



福州西湖国际学校也开展了丰富多彩的庆祝活动！幼儿园小B班的新年派对上，小朋友们集体穿新衣，分享美食，好不热闹~
Fuzhou Lakeside International School also celebrated with a variety of activities! At the Chinese New Year party of Nursery B, kids wore new clothes and shared food together.



而FLIS新春书法、绘画、摄影作品大赛也办到了第四届！此次大赛以“西湖胜景/美在福州”为题，向我校在校学生征集摄影、书法、绘画作品。目前中文部已收到不少优秀作品，时间充足，感兴趣的FLIS学子们别忘了递交作品参赛哦！期待看到大家的杰作！
The FLIS Chinese New Year Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Contest is now in its fourth year! The contest is titled "Westlake Scenery and Fuzhou Beauty" this year and is open to our students for photography, calligraphy, and paintings. The Mandarin Department has already received many excellent entries, so don't forget to submit your entries if you are interested in the contest! We look forward to seeing your beautiful works of art!

On February 5, the long-awaited lucky draw finally started! All teachers, students, and staff came to the red envelope wall to try their luck. We prepared different gifts for students, teachers, and staff of different age groups: Barbie dolls, Peppa Pig dolls, snack packs, Lego toys, rechargeable batteries, balance bikes, and more.
