Hello everyone, my name is Vanessa (徐慧平). I am from Hunan province. I have English Teaching Certificate. Since year 2013, I have been teaching languages. From years 2013-2015, I was teaching Chinese as a Second Language in Nepal where I was first exposed to IB teaching approaches. From years 2015 to year 2019, I taught English at various training centres as well as schools in Nanjing City. There, I worked in another K-12 IB school where I took part in a series of professional trainings. Afterwards, I have been teaching English in Fuzhou in different schools. It’s definitely an honour to work as an English Language Acquisition teacher at FLIS where my personal philosophy is in alignment with. Besides teaching, I have also been taking Master of Education courses at University of the People which is an American school. I will be teaching phase 3 and focused English. My goal is to cultivate independent citizens who can serve the society. In terms of interests, I have particular interest in learning languages. I have acquired some Nepali and German expressions. However, due to a lack of environment, I have not practiced consistently. Learning is using, I personally believe. If you desire to improve your English, try to chat with me in English. 大家好，我是徐慧平，来自湖南省，我持有初中英语教学资格证。自 2013 年以来，我一直在教语言。从 2013 年到 2015 年，我在尼泊尔教授对外汉语，在那里我第一次接触到了 IB 教学方法。从2015年到2019年，我在南京市的各个培训中心以及学校教授英语。在那里，我在另一所 K-12 IB 学校工作并且参加了各种专业培训。之后，我一直在福州的不同学校教授英语。能够在 FLIS 担任英语语言习得老师绝对是一种荣幸，因为我的个人理念与学校的理念是一致的。
除了教学，我还在民众大学攻读教育硕士课程。我将教授英语习得第三层级和强化英语课程。我的目标是培养能够为社会服务的独立公民。我有广泛的兴趣，对学习语言特别感兴趣。我学会了一些尼泊尔语和德语的表达方式。 但是由于缺乏环境，我没能坚持练习。我非常坚定地认为，学习语言的最好的办法之一是持之以恒地练习。如果你想提高英语，请尝试用英语与我聊天。我会尽我所能帮助你哦。
