福州西湖国际学校于5月31日举办了一年一度的才艺秀。多年来，FLIS一直秉持初心，希望通过才艺秀舞台鼓励学生勇敢展示自我，做独一无二的自己。今年的演出涵盖器乐演奏、歌舞、戏剧、脱口秀、情景剧、空竹等多种表演形式，令观众大饱眼福。

Fuzhou Lakeside International School (FLIS) held its annual Talent Show on May 31th. Over the years, FLIS has always been committed to encouraging students to show their unique selves through the Talent Show. This year's show featured a variety of performance forms such as instrumental music, singing, dancing, drama, stand-up comedy, sitcom, and Diabolo, etc., to the delight of the audience.

除了器乐、舞蹈、演唱等“传统才艺”，几位学子因兴趣爱好练就的“个人技”也十分引人瞩目：MYP2的Ryan同学在两个月时间里自学苦练抖空竹奇技，酷炫精彩的表演引得台下连连喝彩；二年级小朋友Rory的近景魔术展现了“无中生有”的艺术——变出花、变出礼物、变出空白书页上的美丽插画；五年级的Tony与Geroge哥俩为即将小学毕业的朋友精心准备了一份礼物——以时下流行的脱口秀为形式，道出友谊中的小小龃龉与动人情谊……

In addition to instrumental music, dance, singing, and other “traditional talents”, several students' “personal skills” are also very notable: MYP2's Ryan, who has been practicing his skills on his own for two months, drew applause from the audience with his cool and exciting performance; Rory, a second grader, demonstrated the art of “making something out of nothing” with close-up magic - flowers, gifts and beautiful illustrations on blank pages; Tony and Geroge from Grade 5 prepared a gift for their friends who are about to graduate from primary school - a stand-up comedy that illustrates the small disagreements and touching feelings of friendship…

相较往年，今年才艺秀上也涌现了多样中国风节目：诗朗诵、中国舞、琵琶双重奏……尽显东方文化魅力。此外，抱怨房子太小的老太太如何在老爷爷的帮助下让自己的房子变大？ECE绘本戏剧社的演员们通过生动的表演，为大家演绎了知足常乐这一道理；另一出让大家印象深刻的戏剧由幼儿园及中小学子联袂带来：小女孩有一个长不大的朋友。他为何永远不会长大？最后稚嫩童声齐唱We Are the World，大家对世界和平的迫切渴望亦寄托其中，或许，这是个能让你更加珍视平凡日常的节目。

Compared to previous years, this year's Talent Show also featured a variety of Chinese-style programs: poetry recitation, Chinese dance, pipa duet… which displayed the charm of oriental culture. Besides, how does an old lady complaining about her house being too small make it bigger with the help of an old man? The actors of the ECE Picture Book Drama Club interpreted the principle of contentment through vivid performances; another impressive drama was presented by ECE, primary, and MYP students: a little girl has a friend who never grows up. But why? At the end of the show, the young voices sang We Are the World, in which the urgent desire for world peace was also placed. Perhaps this is a program that can make you cherish ordinary daily life more.
