FLIS TALK丨生而为人：什么是儿童白血病舒缓治疗？

还记得去年“雪花”纷飞之夜那一段“未来狂想曲”吗？2021年年末，福州西湖国际学校的学子们举行了盛大的演出，庆祝佳节并展望新年，同时，在以四个学院为主导的圣诞慈善集市中，FLIS学子为公益组织[儿童希望福州小家]筹集到了两万余元善款，给贫困白血病患儿送去温暖和支持，送上对未来的美好祝福。
Remember last year's "Rhapsody of the Future" on the night of the "Snowflakes"？The students of Fuzhou Lakeside International School celebrated Christmas and looked forward to the New Year with a grand performance and a Christmas charity fair led by Secondary’s four houses. FLIS students raised more than 20,000 RMB for the Children's Hope Project [Fuzhou Hope Home], sending warmth and good wishes for the future to poor children suffering from leukemia.

本周三，为了让我校师生对白血病患儿这一群体有更多了解，FLIS Talk邀请到了儿童希望救助基金会[福州小家]的发起人、来自福建医科大学附属协和医院小儿血液科的郑浩主任为大家宣讲。郑主任专注儿童血液及肿瘤性疾病治疗已有二十八年。
This Wednesday, in order to let students know more about the group of children with leukemia, FLIS Talk invited Zheng Hao, the initiator of [Fuzhou Hope Home] and the associate chief physician from Pediatric Hematology Department in Fujian Medical University Union Hospital, who has been focusing on the treatment of pediatric hematological and oncological diseases for twenty-eight years, to give a presentation.

讲座伊始，郑主任为大家介绍了儿童白血病这一疾病及其诊断、治疗过程。郑主任特地提及公众对儿童白血病的一些认知误区，比如儿童白血病的治愈率及生存率其实是非常高的，一些亚型的治愈率甚至可以高达85%-90%。此外，作为中华医学会儿科分会血液学组舒缓治疗亚专业组华东区负责人，郑浩主任一直致力于儿童舒缓疗法的推广与实践。那么，什么是舒缓治疗？
At the beginning of the lecture, Doctor Zheng introduced the disease of childhood leukemia, its diagnosis and treatment to the audience. Doctor Zheng specifically mentioned some public misconceptions about childhood leukemia, such as the fact that the cure and survival rates of childhood leukemia are actually high, and the cure rates for some subtypes can even be as high as 85%-90%. In addition, as the responsible person of the Eastern China Region of the sub-groups of Palliative Care in the group of Hematology, Society of Pediatrics, Chinese Medical Association, Doctor Zheng has been dedicated to the promotion and practice of pediatric palliative care. So, what is palliative care?

儿童舒缓治疗（Pediatric Palliative Care）为患有危及生命疾病的儿童提供身体、心理和精神等全方面的照顾，同时给予家庭支持，旨在为儿童及其家庭提供病程中条件允许的最佳生活质量。舒缓治疗往往由包括不同类型的医护专业人士组成的团队提供，且舒缓治疗可以从首次确诊这类疾病之际就开始进行。
Pediatric palliative care is the provision of physical, psychological and spiritual care for children with life-threatening illnesses, along with family support, with the goal of providing the best quality of life for the child and family during the course of the illness. Palliative care is often provided by a team that includes different types of health care professionals, and can begin as soon as the illness is first diagnosed.

对在座中学生而言，这无疑是个相当陌生的领域。郑主任也简单讲解了舒缓治疗的步骤，诸如疼痛及症状管理（镇痛治疗）、心理疏导（对患儿家庭的安抚与沟通），甚至包括临终关怀——对FLIS学子而言又是一枚深水炸弹。但死亡是每个人终究要面对的议题，孔子有云，“未知生，焉知死？”反过来想想，对死亡——或者说，对如何有尊严地面对死亡、有质量地度过余生——的思考，也会带给活着的人许多启示，让我们更加珍惜这有且仅有一次的生命。
This is certainly quite an unfamiliar area for the Secondary students in the audience. Doctor Zheng also briefly explained the steps of palliative care, such as pain and symptom management (analgesic treatment), psychological support (reassurance and communication with the child's family), and even hospice care - another depth charge for FLIS students. But death is a topic that everyone will have to face eventually. As Confucius said, "How can we know death if we don't know life?" On the other hand, thinking about death - or rather, how to face it with dignity and spend the rest of our lives with quality - can also bring many insights to the living, making us cherish the life we have and will have only once.

公益活动也是舒缓治疗的一种延伸，讲座临近结尾，郑主任对大家介绍了福建省内一些为帮助贫困白血病患儿乃至其他重症儿童奔走多年的组织、机构，包括福建省金丝带济困公益服务中心，还有在去年圣诞慈善季令FLIS学子深受感动的[儿童希望福州小家]等等。这些年来，他们筹集善款，关怀患儿，为数之不尽的家庭带去温暖与希望；正因为有这些人的存在，我们才得以在世界时而悲伤冷酷的一面中感受到些许温暖。讲座在郑主任对未来全面推广儿童舒缓治疗的期许中结束。FLIS希望本次讲座能令大家更深刻地意识到，去年圣诞慈善季所有人的努力究竟是为了什么、我们究竟做了什么、我们还可以做到什么？
Near the end of the lecture, Doctor Zheng introduced some organizations and institutions in Fujian Province that have been working for years to help poor children with leukemia and other serious illnesses, including the Fujian Golden Ribbon Charity Service Center, and the [Fuzhou Hope Home], which touched the hearts of FLIS students during last year's Christmas season. Over the years, they have raised money, cared for children, and brought warmth and hope to countless families; it is because of these people that we can find some light in the sad and cold side of the world. FLIS hopes that this presentation could help us realize what all the efforts of last year's Christmas season were for, what we did, and what we can still do.

慈善不只是捐钱，慈善也不应伴随着圣诞慈善季的结束而结束。在这段时间里，若大家有被他人的命运所牵动，FLIS希望慈善也可以是一颗种子，经年累月受善意与同理心滋养，有朝一日终成郁郁森林……那么，或许你会发现，这股力量也可以成为一个人的立足之本。感谢大家参加本次FLIS Talk，我们下期再见！
