若说2020是世界停转之年，是特别的一年，2021年则让人们更真切地意识到，世界已然改变，且我们再也回不到从前。回望过去，你可曾想过未来要去哪儿？能做些什么？想成为怎样的人？如今，这些目标是否有所改变？
If 2020 was a special year when the world stopped spinning, 2021 is a year when people realize more truly that the world has changed and we can never go back to the past. Looking back, have you ever thought about where you want to go in the future? What you can do? What kind of person you want to be? Have these goals changed today?
这个圣诞季，以“未来狂想曲”为名，福州西湖国际学校邀请大家一起纵情狂欢、畅想未来、共叙希望！我们在“未来邮局”给若干年后的自己写了信；在圣诞演出中通过精心编排的节目诠释了想象中的未来；更踊跃献出爱心，让需要帮助的孩子可以拥有更好的明天……在这个短暂的冬夜，我们似乎一起窥见了未来世界的一瞬。
This Christmas season, under the name of "Rhapsody of the Future", Fuzhou Lakeside International School invited everyone to have fun, think about the future and share our hopes! We wrote letters to our future selves in the "Future Post Office"; we interpreted our imaginary future through elaborate performances in the Christmas performance; and we contributed to make a better tomorrow for the children in need… On this winter night, we seem to have a glimpse of the future world together.
FLIS一向注重学子的全面发展，今年圣诞，我们迎来了社团节目大爆发：FLIS乐队、合唱队、咏春社团、西洋乐室内乐团、跆拳道社团都贡献了精彩的表演！一年级小朋友与幼儿园大班宝宝合作，联动节目萌翻众人；中学部学子则载歌载舞，以各种艺术形式为我们打开通往未来的传送门，构建人类命运共同体！更让人惊喜的是Alicia老师和她的乐手朋友们在演出中闪亮登场，NoYz乐队嗨唱两首点燃全场！
FLIS has always focused on the all-round development of our students, and this Christmas, we had an explosion of club programs: FLIS Band, Choir Club, Wing Chun Club, Chamber Orchestra, and Taekwondo Club, which all contributed wonderful performances! The first graders collaborated with the kindergarten kids in a joint program that was adorable; the secondary students sang and danced, opening the portal to the future and building a community of human destiny with various art forms! What's more surprising is that Ms. Alicia and her musician friends made a splendid appearance in the show, and the NoYz band sang two songs to light up the whole audience!
圣诞季也是FLIS每年传统的慈善季。今年，在一番寻觅后，我们留意到“儿童希望福州小家”这个慈善项目。小家在福建协和医院儿童血液科医生及主任牵头下于2016年2月份建成，致力于为远离家乡赴陌生大城市就医的贫困患儿（以白血病患儿为主）及家长提供暂时过渡的居所，解决他们在榕求医期间衣食住行等生活问题。这段时间，FLIS学子通过宣讲、募捐等活动，呼吁大家关注这一群体的困境，用自己力所能及的方式奉献点滴。演出现场，我们很荣幸请到了小家第一位社工陈琼华女士与大家分享更多关于福州小家的故事。慈善不仅仅是捐钱，更是一种生活态度，是自我成长的一个课题。FLIS衷心希望通过此次活动培养学子的同理心及向善心，提升学子的社会责任感。
The Christmas season is also a traditional charity season for FLIS every year. This year, after a lot of searching, we came across the Children's Hope Project [Fuzhou Hope Home]. Led by the doctors and director of the Department of Pediatric Hematology at Fujian Union Medical College Hospital, Fuzhou Hope Home was set up in February 2016 to provide temporary transitional housing for poor children (mainly children with leukemia) and their parents who travel far from home to seek medical treatment in unfamiliar big cities, and to solve their living problems such as food, clothing, housing and transportation during their stay in Fuzhou. During this period of time, FLIS students have been calling attention to the plight of this group of people through lectures, fundraising and other activities, and contributing in whatever way they can. At the show, we were honored to have Ms. Chen Qiong Hua, the first social worker of Fuzhou Hope Home, to tell us more about the story of Fuzhou Hope Home. Charity is not just about donating money, it is also an attitude of life and a subject of self-growth. FLIS sincerely hopes that through this event, we can cultivate students' empathy and kindness and enhance their sense of social responsibility.
充满科技感及未来感的创意舞台演出结束后，今年圣诞季新环节——慈善集市也拉了开序幕！此次集市由中学师生及志愿者家长共同运营，所得收益将全部捐赠给[福州小家]。就着温暖灯光漫步流连于一个个热闹快乐的小摊旁，热饮、小吃、可爱的手工艺品与实惠的二手商品应有尽有，在暗夜中与亲朋好友目睹圣诞树一点点绽放光亮，伴着漫天大雪……多年后忆往昔，这必定也会是一段美好的经历吧！
Immediately after the creative and futuristic stage performance, a new part of this year's Christmas activity - the charity fair - kicked off! The fair was jointly operated by the secondary students, teachers and volunteer parents, and all proceeds will be donated to [Fuzhou Hope Home]. We strolled around lively and happy stalls with warm lights, hot drinks, snacks, cute handicrafts and affordable second-hand goods in the darkness of the night with friends and family to see the Christmas tree bloom with light, with the snow… years later, when we look back in retrospect, it will certainly be a good experience!
很快，岁末与新春就要接踵而至。未来并非遥不可及，每一个现在都曾是未来，而未来也蕴于、始于、取决于此刻。祝福小家的孩子，愿你们平安、健康，快快痊愈；也提前预祝西湖学子假期愉快，我们2022见！
Soon, the end of the year and the New Year will follow each other. The future is not out of reach, every present was once the future, and the future is embedded in, begins with, and depends on this moment.
