In this hot summer, the internship of three Fuzhou Lakeside International School students to the overseas department of Fujian Daily Southeast Network came to a successful conclusion on August 13. The three students, Cindy, Anna and Vivi are recently graduated from MYP4.
No accumulation of steps,

When three students who have just graduated from FLIS MYP4 come to participate in the internship at fjsen.com of Fujian Daily, they were actually worried and afraid. The girls, who had just entered high school, were worried that they would not be able to adapt quickly to the tasks assigned by their instructors. However, when they think about it again and again, they thought that since they clearly know the shortcomings of their own situation, they should use their strengths to make up for their weaknesses, and make use of the opportunity they have to learn about more about news with their tutors. Therefore, they can make up for their lack of knowledge in the field of news.
Anna worked on the project of "Impression of Fuzhou" with her tutor to design and make commemorative cards and certificates for "Overseas Chinese teenagers talk about Fuzhou and share what you like about Fuzhou". When designing the cards, she realized how difficult it was to design, because she wanted to satisfy the clients and at the same time pursue beauty.
"And with this internship, I believe I can improve in these areas. Therefore, I think it would be very rewarding for me to have an internship in Fujian Daily."
On the first day, Vivi’s tutor assigned her a task of drawing up a title and an interview outline on the topics of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China and the Economic Development of Fuzhou. Before, she wasn’t familiar with this topic, so she had a very difficult process in writing this outline. However, with her persistent research on this topic, she finally succeeded in drawing up the title and an interview outline.
"As I had no clue about the subject, I thought about giving it up, but thinking it could be my opportunity to learn, I immediately settled down and continued to investigate the subject."
Afterwards, the teacher gave her two more tasks: to do a Mazu picture culture exhibition and a Mid-Autumn Festival H5, but since she had no experience of making a H5, the teacher asked her to finish it in a Word document. The task was then not so difficult for her, as it was in an area that she was good at: research, analysis, and translation. Therefore, the task became easier and being completed successfully.
Cindy' tutor taught her how to operate and plan an account on a social platform and how to complete a market research.
After finishing account planning, she started to do marketing research. The main content of market research included finding accounts similar to one's own account and analyzing the basic content of which accounts, video editing methods, account characteristics, number of fans, the highest number of plays and platforms. While working on marketing research, she found that audience from different countries have different reactions to a particular video. Therefore, when doing market research, it was necessary to compare how social platforms in each country view a video, and then create their own works according to their target audience.
