转眼期中已至，福州西湖国际学校于11月15日举行了家长会。依照传统，每学年FLIS都举行两次家长会，家长可预约上午或下午时段与班主任及各科教师会面，讨论学生近期学习情况。届时，FLIS将安排双语老师在场翻译，并为家长们准备一些可口糕点。

As first semester is underway and the mid-term is here, Fuzhou Lakeside International School welcomed families for Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) sessions on Friday, November 15th.  Twice each school year, FLIS parents are given options for morning or afternoon sessions in order to meet and discuss student progress, strengths and areas for improvement with homeroom and specialist teachers.  As a courtesy to families, conferences are held with live interpretation and language translation support from FLIS bilingual teachers and delicious snacks are available throughout the day for those participating.

Student preferred learning styles, behavioral and personal goals regarding social-emotional development and character education

• 学生的需要，以及任何可能对学生学习造成影响的家庭因素
Student needs and any family areas of concern that may affect student learning 

• 帮助学生在家、在校学习的额外举措以及介入策略
Enrichment and intervention strategies to help support student learning both at home and school



一如传统，在感恩节将至的十一月，“感恩”是全校的主题，在此我们也想感谢敬业的员工、与持续合作的家长们，同我们在孩子们的教育上一路协行！未来，我们也将多多交流学生的进步、成就与学习目标，鼓励孩子大胆逐梦。继续加油，下次家长会再见！
As the tradition at FLIS is focusing on thankfulness in November, it is fitting to acknowledge how grateful we are to our dedicated staff and families as we continue to contribute and collaborate together, working toward shared educational goals for students.  Acknowledging student progress, achievement, and learning goals within our school community helps inspire students to continue to dream big!  Until the next mid-term PTCs...keep on striving ahead everyone!
