10月25日，中学生参加了一场学院竞赛。以学院命名人生平及成就为主题，学员们可选择任意一种表演艺术上台做最终陈述。四院学生大显身手，开动脑筋发挥创意，为观众带来了一场场趣味十足且充满活力的表演！
On October 25th, FLIS Secondary School students took part in a House Competition where the theme was to highlight their house patron’s life and accomplishments in a final presentation. Students showcased the performing arts style of their choosing and collaborated with each other to fuel their creativity, which resulted in some entertaining and energetic performances. 



赫斯顿学院为在座观众带来了一出命名人佐拉·尼尔·赫斯顿女士的“传记片”，在短短几幕表演中囊括了这位女作家人生的几个关键时刻，有欢笑，亦有泪水。其中，几位学员将女作家的三段婚姻演绎得喜感而跌宕起伏，赢得了阵阵掌声。
The Hurston House started off with a short biopic highlighting the life of their patron, Zora Neale Hurston. The performance displayed a life which was filled with both success and hardship. The Hurston House performers really got some laughs and built up a bit of comedy and drama by showcasing the three marriages and divorces of the late author. 



接着，斐波那契学院通过在线答题游戏“Kahoot”与在座观众进行互动。在这个游戏里，大家需事先认真观看一段由学员录制的、有关数学家斐波那契的视频，之后，学员们选出几位他院学员参与有关数学家生平细节的答题游戏。答案就藏在刚刚的视频中喔！
Next, the Fibonacci House had everyone engaged with an interactive online game called "Kahoot." Here the audience had to pay attention to a video in which students talked about the famed Italian mathematician. Then they challenged students from other houses to compete with one another by answering trivia questions based on the video. 



之后上台的是贞德学院。几位学员向观众演绎了圣女贞德传奇一生的悲剧起点——她是缘何加入对抗英国的战争的。这段演出中还有一幕激烈的战斗场景，同时，演员们也向观众宣告了圣女贞德的无辜。
Next, the Arc House showed us the sad beginnings of the young Joan of Arc’s life which pushed her to fight in the war against the British. This performance also included a fiery battle scene from the war as well as the acknowledgement that Joan of Arc was truly innocent.



最后，特斯拉学院登场。他们通过表演向观众诠释了一段变味的友谊：即尼古拉·特斯拉，著名科学家与发明家，与他的前任导师托马斯·爱迪生之间究竟发生了什么？观众津津有味地欣赏了这个关于竞争与嫉妒的故事。
Finally, the Tesla House preformed a story of friendship turned sour as they explain what happened between Nikola Tesla, the famed scientist and inventor, and his former mentor, Thomas Edison. The audience was able to enjoy a great story about rivalry and jealousy.



每个学院的表现都棒极了！戏里戏外他们的配合都十分完美，最终为大家献上了精彩的演出，也凸显了大家的才华！斐波那契学院最终脱颖而出赢得了这次胜利。在这学期接下来的日子里，我们期待看到大家更优秀的表现！
In conclusion, all the houses did a wonderful job in collaborating and working together as well as highlighting their talents outside the classroom - with the Fibonacci House being the final winners!  As the semester continues, we hope to see a lot more of this superior work from our students.
