Fuzhou Lakeside International School is not only committed to providing students with advanced international education, but also concerned about every student's campus life. Education should not stop at the classroom. FLIS also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities designed to encourage students' personal development, potential development, participation, and leadership. After entering secondary school, when facing a new learning stage, many students may feel a little confused and they may also harbor various expectations. Through progressive academic learning and rich and high-quality extracurricular activities, FLIS hopes to dispel students' confusion a little, help them achieve stable academic progress and identify their future direction faster.



上学期，不少FLIS学子纷纷走出校门，积极参与各种各样的竞赛，尽显风采；还有一些学生为公益献出自己的一份力，利用假期支教，为偏远地区的儿童捎去新知。前些日子，世界学者杯的组织方代表Jaslyn女士与Jason先生来到我校宣讲。世界学者杯是一个在国际上享有盛名的跨学科学术盛宴，旨在通过四个学术项目（辩论赛、协同创作、学者杯知识竞答、知识挑战）的竞赛以及一些诸如达人秀、“羊驼平衡挑战”等有趣的活动，开拓选手在未知领域的视野，并在全球化的大背景下，促进来自不同文化背景学生的交流。今年，世界学者杯在福州设置了赛区，也欢迎大家积极参与！
Last semester, some FLIS students actively participated in various competitions, showing their elegant demeanor. Some students also made personal contributions to the public welfare, taking advantage of holidays to teach and bring new knowledge to children in remote areas. Recently, the organizers of The World Scholar’s Cup competition, Ms. Jaslyn and Mr. Jason, came to FLIS to deliver an orientation. WSC is an international interdisciplinary academic competition comprised of four principal competitive events: debate, collaborative writing, the Scholars’ Bowl, and the Scholars’ Challenge, as well as fun activities such as the Scholars’ Talent Show and the “Balancing Alpaca” contest. This year, WSC is going to hold a Regional Contest in Fuzhou. The competition is famous for expanding the vision of competitors in unknown fields, and promoting the exchange of students from different cultural backgrounds under the context of globalization.
