MYP3 Homeroom Teacher丨MYP3 班主任

I’m Victoria Gao (Gao Xiaowen). I specialize in teaching Chinese language acquisition and language & literature courses, and have ten years of experience as a homeroom teacher.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Fujian Normal University and my master’s degree from The University of Queensland in Australia (ranked among the top 50 in the QS World University Rankings). Professionally, I hold a teaching certificate for Chinese language subjects, have achieved Level 2 Grade A in Mandarin proficiency, and scored 7 in the IELTS exam.

I won first prize in the Fujian Provincial Homeroom Teacher Skills Competition, and continuously explore how to integrate Chinese teaching with class management in daily instruction.

"Language is the vessel of culture, and literature is the window to thoughts." In my teaching, I focus on strengthening students’ foundational Chinese abilities while guiding them to feel the cultural warmth and cultivate critical thinking through literary works.

I love delving into classical literary works from ancient and modern times (observing language evolution through comparison) and designing creative language activities (to make learning more engaging). After all, the charm of language always lies in "connection."

我本科毕业于福建师范大学，硕士毕业于澳大利亚昆士兰大学（QS世界大学排名前50）。持有语文学科教师资格证，普通话水平达二级甲等，雅思成绩7分。

我曾在福建省班主任技能大赛中荣获一等奖，也在日常教学里持续探索中文教学与班级管理的融合路径。

“语言是文化的容器，文学是思想的窗口” ——教学中既注重夯实学生的中文基础能力，也引导他们从文学作品中感知文化温度、培养思辨力。

我喜欢研读古今文学经典（在对比中洞察语言演变），也热衷于设计创意语言活动（让学习更有趣），毕竟，语言的魅力永远藏在“连接”里。
