ELA Teacher丨英语语言习得教师

My name is Suhua Chen. I am currently teaching ELA at FLIS. I received my master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English To Speakers Of Other Languages) from Temple University in the United States and have over ten years of experience in English language teaching.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that learning is most effective when it is student-centered, meaningful, and engaging. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel supported to explore ideas, take risks, and develop both their language proficiency and critical thinking skills. My ultimate goal is to empower students not only to succeed academically but also to grow as curious, reflective, and globally-minded individuals. 

大家好，我是陈素华。目前我在福州西湖国际学校教授ELA课程。我拥有美国天普大学的对外英语教学（TESOL）硕士学位，并且有超过十年的英语教学经验。

我的教学理念基于这样一种信念：当学习以学生为中心、富有意义且引人入胜时，才会最有成效。我努力营造一个让学生感到被支持的课堂环境，鼓励他们探索想法、勇于尝试，同时提升语言能力和批判性思维能力。我的最终目标是赋能学生，不仅让他们在学业上取得成功，更要让他们成长为充满好奇心、善于反思且具备全球视野的人。
