Hello. My name is Maria Wilson. I am excited to be a part of the Fuzhou Lakeside International School. 

I was born in Russia but have lived and worked in the USA for the last 20 years. I graduated for The Mari State University in Russia, where I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Linguistics, specializing in English and French. I moved to America to pursue my dreams soon after my graduation.

While living in the U.S., I dedicated myself to the field of education. I earned my teaching credentials from the American Montessori Society and refined my practice over 17 years as a Montessori teacher at the Montessori Fountainhead School. I love to travel and experience new things, which made the move to China an easy decision. 

When it comes to my professional views, I strongly believe in a child-centered education. I always try to create an environment where a child can thrive and grow both as an individual and as a member of a community. My primary goal is to foster a love and joy for learning that lasts a lifetime.

When I am not teaching. I can be found exploring the outdoors with my family through hiking, biking, and simply enjoying nature.

我出生在俄罗斯，但在过去20年里一直在美国生活和工作。我毕业于俄罗斯的马里州立大学，在那里我获得了语言学学士和硕士学位，专业是英语和法语。毕业后不久，我便移居美国追求我的梦想。

在美国生活期间，我致力于教育领域。我从美国蒙特梭利协会获得了教师资格认证，并在蒙氏学校担任蒙特梭利教师17年，不断完善我的教学实践。我热爱旅行和探索新事物，这使得搬到中国于我而言是一个轻松的决定。

在教育理念上，我坚信以儿童为中心的教育模式。我始终努力营造一个让孩子能够在个人成长与社区融入中茁壮成长的环境。我的首要目标是培养孩子对学习的热爱与激情，使其终身受益。

在教学之余，我常与家人一起探索户外世界，通过徒步、骑行等方式享受大自然的馈赠。
