MYP1 Homeroom Teacher丨MYP1 班主任

My name is Cecilia. I have 11 years of English teaching experience and I am really glad to be the MYP1 homeroom teacher as well as the EAS English teacher this year. 

I have many hobbies, such as singing, traveling, workout, etc. But on top of those, learning language is always my biggest passion. I have CELTA certificate. I scored 109 in TOEFL and 7 in IELTS. Beside English, I used to learn Italian and went to Italy as a volunteer teacher. If possible, I would like to learn as many languages as possible.

From my experience of attending Project Zero workshop, I realize that teaching is not simply about giving students knowledge, but more about creating various opportunities for them to discover things by themselves through A-HA moments. I am looking forward to learning along with MYP1 students and witness their improvements.

我有许多兴趣爱好，比如唱歌、旅行和健身等。但其中最大的热情始终是学习语言。我持有CELTA证书，托福成绩为109分，雅思成绩为7分。除了英语之外，我曾学习过意大利语，并作为志愿者教师前往意大利任教。如果可能的话，我希望尽可能多地掌握不同的语言。

通过参加“零项目”（Project Zero）工作坊的经历，我意识到教学不仅仅是向学生传授知识，更重要的是创造各种机会，让他们通过顿悟时刻自主地去发现和探索。我期待与MYP1的学生们共同学习，见证他们的成长与进步。
