上周末，福州西湖国际学校的足球小将们结束了秋季联赛的最后一场比赛。四场小组赛后，FLIS取得了三胜一负的好成绩，位列小组第二！

Last weekend, The Fuzhou Lakeside International School soccer team finished their last game in Autumn. After four tournaments, the “FLIS” team had three wins and one loss, ranking second in the Gulou district group.



去年，FLIS足球队在全市冠军联赛中跻身八强，位列足球队创建以来的最好成绩。本学年，FLIS足球队的招募与试训异常火爆，也如愿注入不少新鲜血液。经过一段时间的训练，10月27日，FLIS的足球小将们踏出了本赛季征途的第一步……
Last year, FLIS soccer team ranked 8th in the finals for the Fuzhou Junior Football League Championship. This was their best record since the team was established. This academic year, the recruitment and trial training of FLIS soccer team has been extremely competitive, and a lot of new blood has been injected as expected. After a period of training, on October 27, our players took the first step of the season…



秋季赛季落下帷幕，我们欣喜地看到了新队员的“初生牛犊不怕虎”的冲劲，更让我们觉得欣慰的是，老队员在经过几个赛季的历练后，技术娴熟、配合默契，在球队占上风时不骄不躁、落后时不屈不挠，纷纷成长为了队内中流砥柱一般的存在。小组赛中，我们见证了两位老队员扛起队长大旗，见证了新队员第一次上绿茵赛场自由奔跑，见证了好几名球员在联赛的第一粒宝贵进球，也见证了逆境中球队上下一心、顽强拼搏直至最后一秒的斗志！感谢两位教练对球队的付出，感谢风雨无阻来到现场为孩子加油的家长，也感谢与我们同场竞技、共同成长的对手。接下来我们将迎来短暂的休赛期，在此期间，我们也将刻苦训练，稳扎稳打，争取在春季赛季再创佳绩！
Throughout this fall season, we were delighted to see new players’ fresh momentum, and we felt gratified that old players have matured after several seasons of competing. Their coordination and teamwork were technically brilliant. They played like firm rocks in midstream. We witnessed so many precious moment in the beginning stages. The two varsity players were recruited as captains, while the newer players participated for the first time on the green field. They were as free as birds! Several players scored their first goal for our team. What surprised us was, we knew they played well when everything was smooth, we didn’t know that they could stay so strong in the face of adversity. Those little fighters fought until the last second of the game! We want to thank our two coaches for their dedication to our team, and the parents who have come to cheer on our kids regardless of the weather. We also feel so grateful to our esteemed competitors for providing us with such close competition. Now that we have a short off-season, we will train hard, play happily, and hope we could achieve more on the next spring season.
